ZIM is here to help
ZIM knows that nonprofits’ grant writing needs are increasing as emergency funding becomes available. We are here to help. Our talented team of grant writers is ready to assist with time-sensitive or emergency grants for any nonprofit who needs it. We want to be more available to our community in these difficult times. Please share widely with nonprofit organizations in your network. Call 303-226-5478 or email to get in touch and tell us what you need.

Also, we are sharing an up-to-date list of emergency grant opportunities with our clients on a weekly basis. The list has grown to more than 45 opportunities. If you're not a current client and would like to receive weekly updates from the ZIM team, email us and we'll add you to the list.
Crisis Response: Stories of hope from our clients
Our fantastic clients have been working diligently to respond to urgent needs in the community during this time of crisis. Here are some highlights that bring us hope:

A Little Help

A Little Help, an organization helping older adults to thrive, quickly mobilized volunteers to offer kindness, connection, and essential resources to the older adults they serve. Last week, A Little Help put out a call for volunteers to make regular phone calls to check in on community members, grocery shop, and pick up prescriptions for older adults. The response was an overwhelming wave of community compassion—more than 6,000 volunteers reached out to offer their time! It’s inspiring to see so many neighbors step up to care for their communities in this time of need.

The Action Center
The Action Center, an organization that offers stabilizing resources to those facing hardship, has modified their services to distribute food while accommodating social distance by moving to a drive-thru/walk-up model. Closures in the restaurant industry have spurred an influx of food donations from partners such as Sheraton Denver West and Polidori Sausage. The Action Center is making sure excess food gets on families’ tables instead of going to waste!

The Action Center is looking for healthy volunteers, ages 15-59, to help with their drive-thru food distribution services.
Children explore fossils at Dinosaur Ridge.

Dinosaur Ridge
Dinosaur Ridge, a beloved historical site in Colorado featuring dinosaur tracks and educational tours, has temporarily closed to prioritize the safety of its visitors and staff. But this hasn’t stopped the Friends of Dinosaur Ridge from providing engaging educational resources to their community! Children, families, and educators can now access free online resources such as the Family Field Guide and coloring sheets to learn about paleontology and geology. We think this is a great opportunity for families to spend quality time together while learning something new. Additionally, the Dinosaur Ridge Trail remains open for walkers, hikers, and cyclists.

Is your organization adapting its services to respond to urgent needs in the community? We’d love to hear about it.

Email to be featured on our Facebook page.

Supporting your work is always our #1 priority, especially during these difficult times. Let us know how we can help you and what you’re doing to adapt your services. We’d love to hear from you!
