Our Unique Response to COVID-19
In many ways, COVID-19 has made us a stronger team. We have continued to support our clients through emergency funding opportunities, fundraising strategy efforts, and by submitting hundreds of successful grant applications. Despite all the unknowns in our world, we are pushing forward. We are fortunate to have the capacity to hire new team members this spring. This will ensure that we can maintain the quality of our work while serving more organizations, thereby allowing them to help more people in need.
ZIM is Hiring!
We’re looking for Grant Researchers and Writers with experience working with nonprofits and a passion for making a difference with many different organizations. Sound like you?

Client Spotlight: Peer Support Program for Brain Injury Survivors Wins Critical Funding

Illustration of people helping each other ascend some blocks.

We’re excited to share a big win from our incredible client, Brain Injury Alliance of Colorado (BIAC), that was awarded $137,680 from The Colorado Health Foundation. In response to the social isolation and behavioral health challenges that brain injury survivors often experience, BIAC launched its Peer Mentorship Program in 2019. The program matches volunteer mentors to peers to helps survivors of a brain injury build hope, purpose, and community. We are thrilled about their success and look forward to the incredible impact they will have toward ending social isolation and promoting mental wellness.

COVID-19 & Your Board

This month, we teamed up with Handbid on a webinar to answer your questions on managing your board during a crisis. Marty Zimmerman, ZIM’s President, recommends that you create a concrete crisis management plan and review it with select board members before your board meeting. Buy-in and trust are key. The webinar also covered tips on running effective virtual board meetings that get everyone on the same page and ready to move forward.
